Registration is now open for the INSPIRE @ IMSH 2024. Join us for our annual in-person meeting at IMSH on Saturday, January 20, 2024, at the San Diego Convention Center in Room 4 on the upper level, which will focus on Emotional Safety in Simulation. The meeting will begin at 8:00 AM PST and end at 5:00 PM PST with coffee, a light breakfast, and lunch included for registered attendees.

This year we will feature collaborative discussions of approaches to incorporate emotional safety into simulation-based education and scholarship, alongside ALERT presentations and network updates. Emotional safety is an intentional, interdisciplinary practice to promote resiliency, healing, and trust for pediatric patients and their families during medical experiences (Association of Child Life Professionals, 2021). Every child deserves emotionally safe care, and research shows that families and healthcare professionals want to prioritize emotional safety alongside physical safety. However, there is a lack of awareness and action to improve emotional safety.

NEW: This year at INSPIRE @ IMSH, attendees can claim continuing medical education (CME)/Continuing Education Unit (CEU) credits for the meeting.  This is being offered through the Society for Simulation in Healthcare, and we thank them for this opportunity.  To claim these credits, attendees must:

  1. Be a registered attendee of IMSH
  2. Indicate that you will be attending the INSPIRE meeting by choosing it as a session on the IMSH scheduling app once it becomes available (typically late December-early January)
  3. Complete the evaluation form for the INSPIRE meeting once IMSH is complete.

Once this is done, credit will be issued as part of the overall IMSH conference CME/CEU’s
