The INSPIRE Executive Board and Scientific Review Committees congratulate Dr. Veronica Godsey, winner of the first INSPIRE Novice Researcher Award. Dr. Godsey’s project, Deliberate Practice to Improve Interdisciplinary Communication- a Pilot Study, will pilot a communication training program using the methodology of Verbal Judo and deliberate practice. It will explore the impact of the program on 30 PGY-2 Pediatric and Medicine/Pediatric residents randomized to a control (traditional instruction) or intervention (deliberate practice) group.
